Geo Park Photo Weddings and Sightseeing in the Oki Islands
Enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and cuisine of the Sea of Japan, while immersing yourself in the history and culture of this hidden island region.

The Oki Islands are located approximately 50 km north of the Shimane Peninsula.
This archipelago consists of four main inhabited islands and around 180 smaller islands.
Known as the “Islands of the Gods,” the Oki Islands are mentioned at the beginning of the Kojiki (712 AD), Japan’s oldest chronicle.

Here, you can witness breathtaking scenery that reflects geological changes dating back some 250 million years—an awe-inspiring Geo Park that feels as if shaped by the hands of deities themselves.

A photo wedding on Nishinoshima, one of the most scenic islands, offers stunning backdrops such as the sea, mountains, dramatic cliffs, and star-filled skies—capturing the many expressions of the Earth itself.

At Matengai Cliff, you might even encounter wild horses.
Capture once-in-a-lifetime memories at scenic spots such as Kuniga Coast, sheer sea cliffs, Yurahime Shrine, and the Akao Observatory, including magical night sky photography.

For your stay, we offer a special room at Kunigaso on Nishinoshima, and on neighboring Ama Town, the modern yet serene Japanese-style hotel Entô awaits.
With large windows framing expansive views of the Sea of Japan, these accommodations provide the perfect place to unwind after your adventure.

Please note:
From November to March, rough sea conditions may cause ferry cancellations.
The recommended travel season is from April to October, with July to September being the absolute best time to visit.
