The Oasa area, where Ishibashitei is located, is a nature-rich highland region where rural culture such as Hanataue (traditional rice-planting festivals) and Kagura performances has long flourished.
Blessed with fertile land, the area produces excellent rice and a variety of agricultural products.
Seasonal mountain delicacies such as kōtake mushrooms and matsutake can also be enjoyed here.
Fresh gibier, including wild boar and venison, is available locally as well.
The area is also home to the headwaters of the Gōnokawa River, which flows to the Sea of Japan.
Clear mountain streams provide regional specialties such as amago trout and ayu sweetfish, ingredients unique to this mountainous region.

As this is a traditional house in a nature-rich area, insects may occasionally enter the house. Insect spray, repellent, tape for stink bugs, and a fly swatter are provided if needed.
The surrounding natural environment is home to various wildlife, including insects and snakes. In summer, mosquitoes are common, so please use insect repellent when going outside. Please also be cautious of venomous snakes (such as mamushi) and ticks, and avoid entering grassy areas.
Wild animals may appear because the house is located near the mountains. Please do not leave food or garbage outside, as it may attract animals.
During winter, a kerosene heater is provided. Please make sure to turn it off before going to sleep.
During snowfall, snow may fall from the roof. Please be careful when going outside.
Oasa is a region with heavy snowfall. If visiting in winter, please ensure your vehicle is equipped with winter tires or chains.
Smoking is not permitted inside the property.
