Our exclusive plan—limited to just one couple per day—offers you this rare opportunity.

Only a short trip from Tokyo, you can immerse yourself in a slow, week-long journey:
try miso-making, indigo dyeing, and other traditions of Japanese culture and art.
As an option, you can also host a wedding banquet in the spirit of the Japanese countryside

The Charm of Yaita

Just Two Hours from Tokyo
Discover the “Authentic Face of Japan” in Yaita, Tochigi

Nestled between two of Japan’s most famous destinations—Nikko and Nasu—Yaita City offers the perfect balance of easy access and peaceful seclusion. From Tokyo, it’s only about one hour to Utsunomiya by train, then less than another hour by rental car. Far from the crowds, Yaita invites you to experience Japan’s original landscapes and heartfelt hospitality.

In spring, nearly 1,000 cherry trees bloom in Nagamine Park, creating a magical “tunnel of pink” blossoms. At Happōgahara Highland, sweeping views reveal the beauty of all four seasons: refreshing breezes and lush greenery in summer, and mountains ablaze with fiery autumn leaves.

Blessed with pure spring water from the Nikko mountain range, Yaita is also a haven for food lovers. Handmade soba noodles, juicy Tochiotome strawberries, and flavorful Yaita Highland Beef offer a feast for the senses. At the Takahara Farmers’ Market, you can enjoy the taste of local harvests at their freshest.

To soothe both body and soul, visit the locally loved Shiro-no-Yu Onsen Center, where gentle hot spring waters and warm encounters with residents make you feel at home. Yaita also preserves history through sacred shrines such as Kowata Shrine and the old streets along the Nikko Kaidō, where traces of the pilgrimage culture still remain.

For travelers seeking not just sightseeing, but a deeper encounter with everyday Japanese life, Yaita offers an experience both authentic and unforgettable.
