bath
During your stay at Taniya, you will enjoy our all-cypress baths as many times as you like.
The bathtub, sink, and adjacent toilet are all made from luxurious cypress from Hida Takayama. If you open the window facing the garden all the way, it becomes a semi-open-air bath. Surrounded by the refreshing scent of cypress, you can relax your body and mind while gazing at the seasonal flowers.
bedroom
We have carefully selected bedding to soothe your tired body and mind. The semi-double bed was made for Taniya by Takayama furniture maker Kitani, and the bedding is from Kyoto’s IWATA. Furnishings that decorate the space include a chair by Takayama furniture maker Hirokazu Kawakami, a side table by Ayumu Midorino, and a dresser by Shinjiro Ito. We promise you will wake up feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Private room
From the rooms facing the street, you can see the charming townscape of Takayama.
Feel free to use it for work, reading, etc. during your stay.
The original furniture, inspired by a lotus pond, by Takayama furniture maker “SUNGTAE” is a work of art.
It harmonizes with the interior design surrounded by Yamanaka washi paper, giving an impression of tranquility.
This is an excellent location for viewing the autumn Takayama Festival yatai parade.
During the festival, you can enjoy it as a luxurious viewing spot.
